At this year’s SxSW, my friends Yasuhisa & Kazuhito hooked me up with Takano-san, who is giving me an opportunity to speak at Apple Store Ginza (Tokyo, Japan) in September.
Takano-san started organizing CSS Nite last October. It’s a monthly mini-workshop series designed for web developers who are interested in CSS (obviously) and web standards.
The title is not set yet, but it will be something like “Publishing a CSS-based site in 15 minutes with WordPress.” I want to introduce WordPress as a nice CMS tool (not just a blogware!).
The tipping point of WordPress hasn’t arrvied in Japan yet — Movable Type is still much more popular as far as self-installation blog goes (of coures, aside from blogger-type externally-hosted blog). I hope this year will be “it” for WP!
I will be speaking in Japanese, but feel free to stop by if you happen to be in Tokyo.
